It's Daylight Saving Time Again
It's that 'time' of year again. We will "spring forward" this weekend, setting our clocks ahead one hour.
Most of Indiana is in the Eastern time zone. Portions of northwest and southwest Indiana observe Central time. The Central Time Coalition insists that the Hoosier state changing to Central Time is the best for Indiana children, who may currently have to rise before the sun.
The time debate heats up every year at the Statehouse. Representative Jeff Thompson this week filed resolutions asking for a summer study committee to examine whether there would be benefits to economic development and education if the majority of the state switched time zones.
Indiana House Speaker Brian Bosma stands firm when he says---the issue will 'not' be revisited. In the meantime, time will not standstill- and the time switch will happen this weekend.
