Indianapolis Ranked on Worst Allergy Cities List


Indianapolis is ranked 59th on the list of worst cities for allergies in the U.S..


The 2013 Spring Allergy Capitals list, issued each year by the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America ranks the worst cities for allergies across the country.  Indianapolis' moved up 20 spots from last year, where it was ranked 79th.

The list ranks cities based on pollen counts, number of allergy medications used per patient and number of allergy specialists per patient.  

Jackson, Mississippi took the top spot in the 2013 list.  The cities closest to Indianapolis with the worst rankings are Louisville, Kentucky in 5th and Dayton, Ohio in 7th.
