Pacers' Paul George Receives Award
Indiana Pacers Forward Paul George has been named the NBA's Most Improved Player. George stated he set out to improve his game during the off-season. He worked with Assistant Coach Brian Shaw in the summer and he wanted to show his dedication to the team.
George received 52 of 120 first place votes, which more than doubled the amount for New Orleans' Greivis Vasquez. Along with the award, George's hand-picked selection, the Hawthorne Community Center, will receive a 2012 Kia Sorrento. The third year player improved his points per game by over 5, rebounds per game by 2, and assists by nearly 2 a game.
He joins Danny Granger, Jermaine O'Neal and Jalen Rose as Pacers who won the Most Improved Player Award.
