Woman Found Dead in South Eastside Home Identified

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department Homicide Detectives have identified a woman found fatally shot early Friday morning. The death of 24-year-old Jerrica Johnson, of Indianapolis, has been ruled a homicide by The Marion County Coroner’s Office. 

At 6:49 A.M. Friday morning IMPD Officers from the Southeast District responded to a 911 caller stating that a female had been found not breathing.  When Officers arrived at 1401 Spann Avenue they discovered a deceased female inside the residence and called for Homicide Detectives to respond. 

This is an active investigation and detectives urge anyone with information reference this incident to call the IMPD at 317.327.3475 or CRIME STOPPERS at 317.262.TIPS (8477).  Callers can also text “INDYCS” plus tip information to 274627(CRIMES).
