The future of buses in Central Indiana is looking light, nimble and fuel efficient. So says IndyGo CEO Mike Terry.
Terry is among city leaders who are getting geared up for the American Public Transportation Association Conference in Indy next week. They hosted an exhibition of fuel efficient buses at White River State Park Monday. Terry says the city is still on track to get 25 brand new buses - some 60 feet long - to add to its current fleet of 156. He says IndyGo is continuing with plans to add routes, the main one being an expanded route on the 86th street corridor.
Terry says IndyGo remains committed to advancing the cause of mass transit which he says is crucial for the future economic development of the city.
