The Indiana State Fair and IUPUI have made it official.
They've entered into a five-year deal for the Jaguars to play at the new Pepsi Coliseum following the completion of the facility's $63 million renovation. IUPUI Athletic Director Michael Moore says he got the idea during the last state fair and contacted State Fair Executive Director Cindy Hoye who responded immediately.
Moore says as part of the deal, IUPUI will have first dibs on the facility's availability for game and event scheduling. The men's and women's teams will play at the Coliseum. Cindy Hoye says it's a ideal fit for both organizations and the move will help both continue to build their brands. The Coliseum facelift is scheduled for completion for the 2014. The Jags plan to begin activities there in roughly 540 days.
