Indiana Ranked Among the Least Courteous States in the U.S.
A new national survey says Indiana is among the least courteous states in the nation.
The Marchex Institute survey ranked all 50 states based on use of the words "please" and "thank you." The survey ranks Indiana third among the least courteous states right behind Wisconsin and Massachusetts. Tennessee ranked fourth and Ohio ranked fifth least courteous.
According to the study, the most courteous states are South Carolina, North Carolina, Maryland, Louisiana and Georgia. The survey says the states where people swear the most include Ohio, New Jersey and Illinois.
The study finds that 66 percent of profanity comes from men.
