President Obama expressed his admiration for the Indiana Fever as players, women, and role models during their visit to the White House.
The Fever earned the trip as the 2012 WNBA Champions.
Obama said he could see their Midwestern values in their game through their hard work and determination.
The team presented the President with a game ball signed by the team, a #12 team jersey with his name on it, and a hat.
Fever coach Lynn Dunn also praised the President and First Lady for their support and empowerment of young ladies across the nation.
The audience consisted of friends and family as well as the Lady Tigers of DePauw University, who were the Division III NCAA basketball champions this year.
