Police Searching for Vehicle in Fatal Hit-and-Run

IMPD is asking for the public's help in locating a vehicle involved in a fatal hit-and-run accident late Monday night.

Shortly before midnight, officers were called to the intersection of 24th Street and Dr. Andrew J. Brown Avenue on a report that a pedestrian had been struck.  Officers found 48-year-old Elisa Taylor of Indianapolis lying on the ground.  She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives are looking for a black or dark blue 2006-2013 Chevrolet Impala with driver's side damage, specifically in the headlight area.  Police do not have a description of the driver.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 262-TIPS.
