Indiana's attorney general hopes that Buck The Money Dog can help him send more bucks back to their owners.

More than $350 million worth of unclaimed property is in the state's possession right now.  Attorney General Greg Zoeller decided to go to Victory Field and pose with a pair of dogs in an effort to get the attention of those who might own some of the property - the two dogs being Buck, a mixed-breed who was rescued by a shelter, and Rowdie, mascot for the Indianapolis Indians.

Unclaimed property includes investment earnings, insurance proceeds, and money from savings and checking accounts.  There are a few physical items, but Zoeller says that makes up less than one-percent of the state's unclaimed property holdings.

You can search to see if you or a member of your family has unclaimed property at  The database is also available on smartphones and tablets through the free Indiana Unclaimed app.
