Police Searching for Murder Suspect

IMPD detectives are searching for the man they believe is responsible for the murder of a man on the city's northeast side last month.

Police say 30-year-old Dante Nichols was is wanted for the murder of 34-year-old Carlton Jenkins.  The incident occurred in the 3800 block of North Layman Avenue on June 24.  Jenkins was found inside a vehicle that crashed into a tree in front of a home in the area.  He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Nichols is considered armed and dangerous and detective say to not approach him.  Anyone with information on Nichols' whereabouts is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 262-TIPS.
