Plainfield Police have recovered the car of a missing Plainfield man.
The car of Morgan Johnson was found in a shallow pond on South Perry Road Friday morning. Skeletal remains were found in the car but have not yet been identified. Plainfield Lt. Jeff Stephens says investigators used cell phone triangulation and a drone sonar boat to find the car. The drone sonar boat was provided by an Illinois search and rescue team that coordinates searches for Texas Equusearch. Autopsy results on the body should be back within a couple of days.
Plainfield Police have been in contact with Johnson's family. He's been missing since May 2011.
