State Police are investigating the shooting of 25-year old Derek Hobson of Greenwood by two Johnson County Deputies.

The deputies found Hobson in a cemetery near the Shelby County line on Wednesday afternoon. Hobson gave them a fake name and then ran from the deputies. He was not phased by the deputies tasers and then pulled a gun. Both deputies fired and killed Hobson.

Hobson was wanted on a battery charge in Marion County and was out on parole from a burglary charge in Johnson County. The deputies were not injured.

State Police say the investigation could take several weeks to complete.
