The Marion County Superior Court has formally issued an arrest warrant for a man suspected of a murder in June.

The warrant formally charges 30-year-old Dante Nichols with murder, battery and possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon.  Nichols is accused of killed 34-year-old Carlton Jenkins, who was found dead inside a car which had crashed into a tree in the 3800 block of North Layman Avenue on June 24.

Detectives asked for the public's help in locating Nichols in early June.  While tracking down several leads, detectives have not been able to locate Nichols.

Police are reminding the public that Nichols is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.  Anyone with information on Nichols' whereabouts is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 262-TIPS.
