Butler junior forward Roosevelt Jones will miss the entire season with a wrist injury.
Jones was Butler's top returning scorer and rebounder. He suffered a wrist injury during the Bulldogs' trip to Australia. He fell on his wrist in the first game of the three-game trip.
Doctors examined the injury after the team returned to Indianapolis and determined that surgery is needed. The "6-4 forward averaged 10.1 points, 5.6 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game during the Bulldogs' 27-9 season a year ago. Jones was looking to extend a streak of 67 consecutive starts.
Butler head athletic trainer Ryan Galloy says Jones' prognosis is good and he is expected back on the court for his senior season.
