Lafayette Police are asking for the public's help in identifying an armed robbery suspect.

Officers responded Monday to a hold up alarm at the Advance America store in the 400 block of Sagamore Parkway South.  Employees told officers a woman robbed the store at gunpoint.  No injuries were reported.

The suspect is described as a white female, 26 to 27 years-old, five-feet four-inches tall, 150 to 160 pounds with brown hair.  She was wearing a black and gray Under Armour sweatshirt and blue jeans.

The woman left on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.  She showed a black or gray handgun to the employees.  Police say she should be considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Lafayette Police Department at 765-807-1200.
