A routine traffic stop led to a marijuana bust Wednesday afternoon in Putnam County.

Indiana State Police say a trooper pulled over a car near the 30 mile marker of westbound Interstate 70 around 4:00 for a broken tail light.  When approaching the car, the trooper noticed a distinct smell of raw marijuana coming from the car.

After searching the car, the trooper found approximately one-quarter pound of suspected marijuana packaged and placed in a trash bag in the car's trunk.

The passenger of the car, 19-year-old Trayon Turner of Indianapolis was arrested and faces felony charges of possession of marijuana over 30 grams and dealing marijuana.  The driver, 22-year-old Darius Gordon of Indianapolis was cited for driving while suspended and released.
