Officials in Connersville are celebrating a big jobs announcement.
Minesota-based cabinet maker Wayzata Home Products is spending $12 million to buy and renovate the former Visteon plant. Wayzata plans to hire more than 300 workers over the next five years. City leaders says it's a great boost for the city which spent the past seven months negotiating the deal.
The building had been vacant since Visteon left years ago. The city had acquired the building for $500. Carbon Motors failed in its efforts to turn the building into a police car manufacturing facility.
