Teen Injured in 2009 Fall at Circle Centre Dies

The Texas teenager who fell from a third-floor railing at Circle Centre Mall in 2009 has died.
Phillip Caler, who was 16 when the accident happened, died on September 29 in Perryton, Texas. Caler was in downtown Indianapolis attending the National FFA convention.
Caler was sitting on a hand rail on the third floor of the mall when he slipped and fell. He hit a second-floor railing before landing on the lower level. Police said no foul play was suspected.
Caler's family has requested that donations in his honor go to the International Brain Research Foundation.
