Knox Man Arrested for Child Molestation

Police have arrested a man from Knox, Indiana on a charges of child molestation and sexual misconduct with a minor.
36-year-old Keith Thatcher was arrested September 3 after investigators determined that he had allegedly engaged in sexual misconduct with a 15-year-old girl who at the time was living in Michigan City. State Police detectives found that the sexual misconduct had been taking place since July 2012. Thatcher was charged with sexual misconduct with a minor and extradited to LaPorte County.
Upon further investigation, detectives discovered that when the victim's family moved to Pulaski County in September 2012, Thatcher allegedly began molesting the eight-year-old sister of the original 15-year-old victim. This allegedly continued until July 2013.
Thatcher was arrested Wednesday while already being held in the LaPorte County Jail. He faces an additional felony charge of child molestation. He will eventually be extradited to Pulaski County.
