Developers Breaking More Ground for Senior Housing
More affordable senior housing is coming into reality in Indianapolis.
Developers are set to break ground on a new project called "Clifton Square" late Thursday afternoon. It's the latest senior housing project for BWI Development. BWI Development President Gary Hobbs says the project will include 57 one and two-bedroom apartments and retail space at 30th Street and Clifton Avenue.
Hobbs says they're adapting two vacant complexes on the site for the project. He says it'll include a skywalk and will be energy efficient. He says it'll also have a health and wellness component and physical therapy center. Hobbs says Clifton Square is their third senior project in Indy. He says the need for affordable senior housing in the city will only increase. The project is set to be completed in early 2015.
