The reckless homicide and drunk driving trial of David Bisard in Ft. Wayne has slowed.
Projections that the prosecution could have their case finished by Friday may be in jeopardy as the case seems to be mired in details.
The defense is challenging the IMPD's chief crash investigator. He answerd questions over differences in his reports and those of a national crash expert. The police department's investigator says the officer was going 60 miles per hour before the crash and hit the first motorcycle at 44 miles per hour - a contrast from the Wednesday's expert testimony that said it was 76 miles per hour before, and 60 at impact.
The police department investigator originally listed the cause as excessive speed and only added alcohol after the blood tests were made public.
