An Iowa man faces several charges after leading police on a chase Wednesday afternoon in Shelby County.

Indiana State Police say a trooper attempted to stop a car driven by 26-year-old Joshua Bailey of Clinton, Iowa on westbound I-74 near the 110 mile marker for a traffic violation.  Bailey failed to stop and continued on I-74 until exiting onto London Road.  Bailey then ran off the road into a corn field near County Roads 400 West and 900 North.

Bailey's car left the corn field but crashed shortly thereafter in the 9700 block of County Road 400 West.  Bailey suffered minor injuries from flying glass and a K-9 bite when he tried to run from the car.

Bailey was taken to Major Hospital in Shelbyville for treatment.  No other injuries were reported.

Bailey is now being held in the Shelby County Jail on felony charges of Resisting Law Enforcement with a Motor Vehicle and Possession of a Stolen Vehicle.  Police say more charges could come later.
