An Indianapolis man is behind bars after he allegedly carjacked a woman on the city's south side Thursday morning and then allegedly robbed a 13-year-old at a bus stop.

IMPD says officers were called to the 4400 block of Madison Avenue around 9:00 a.m. on a report of a carjacking.  A woman told officers her car was taken at gunpoint.  The suspect, later identified as 20-year-old Jerry Metcalf, looked at the victim and said, "Don't even try it. I'll kill you," and drove off.

Officers found Metcalf in the vehicle a short time later and took Metcalf into custody.  Officers later discovered that Metcalf had also robbed a 13-year-old at his bus stop and took his mp3 player.  No injuries were reported.

Metcalf faces charges of robbery, carjacking and auto theft.  He's being held on 160-thousand dollars bond and has an initial court hearing on Monday.
