Alcohol Counselor Sends Warning About Holiday Overindulgence


The holiday season means police are on the lookout for Hoosiers who drink and drive.

Statistics show driving fatalities are always high during holiday times ... Thanksgiving through New Year's being among the worst. National figures show people in their twenties have the highest level of involvement in alcohol-related driving.

Scott Watson of Indianapolis-based Heartland Intervention says alcohol and drugs during the holidays can easily lead to dui charges and all of the issues involved with the legal system. Watson says care and moderation are especially important during the holiday season.
