Planning A Gift Return? Beware Of The Store Policy

If you have plans to return that not-so-perfect Christmas gift back to the store--beware.

In Indiana, there is not a refund law which means a company does not have to issue refunds. They don’t even have to post their policies about refunds/no refunds.

The Indiana Attorney General's office says it is up to the consumer to find out what a company’s refund policy is before making a purchase and that could be a problem if you are the recipient of an unwanted gift and have no idea what the return policy is.

Hopefully, you have that gift receipt to accompany that item that is going back to the store.
