Clark Co. Woman Charged for Stealing Over $100K From Employer
A Clark County woman is facing federal charges after taking over $100,000 from her employer.
27-year-old Jennifer Jekel is accused to have taken about $114,000 from her New Albany employer over a seven month period in 2011. U.S. Attorney Joseph Hogsett says the two year gap between the crime and prosecution was due to the in-depth investigation conducted by the New Albany Police and U.S. Secret Service.
Jekel is facing one count of access device fraud and four counts of wire fraud and will make her first court appearance in federal court in New Albany Friday afternoon.
