Police: Robbery Suspect was Wearing Monitoring Bracelet During Arrest
A man already on probation for robbery was arrested Wednesday for robbing a west side gas station.
IMPD says 23-year-old Justin Cherry of Indianapolis was arrested for robbing the Speedway gas station in the 2900 block of South Holt Road Wednesday afternoon. Cherry was wearing an electronic monitoring bracelet at the time of his arrest.
Cherry faces preliminary charges of robbery and carrying a handgun without a license. Final charges will be determined by the Marion County Prosecutor's Office.
Cherry is a suspect in nine business robberies since the end of January. Those cases are still under investigation and Cherry has not yet been charged in those incidents.
