Tragic Fire Devastates Indy Family

Identities of four deceased are released

Four people have been killed and two others critically injured in a house fire on the city's near-east side.

The Indianapolis Fire Department says the parents, 47-year old Lionel "Leo" Guerra and 33-year old Brandy Mae Guerra, were killed along with one of their sons, 11-year old Esteban Guerra, and an eight-year old daughter, Blanquita Guerra. 

The identities of another 14-year old daughter, and a six-year old son, have not been released.  They remain are in critical condition from smoke inhalation at Eskenazi Hospital. 

IFD says the fire broke out at around 9:00 Saturday morning near 21st and Olney on the city's near east side.  Firefighters were on the scene for about an hour before they were able to get it under control.

No word on the cause of the fire, or whether the house had working smoke detectors.
