Kokomo mayor Greg Goodnight is back from his recent trip to Milan, Italy for meetings with executives of Fiat Group.

Goodnight calls the trip a success, establishing a relationship with the company's leaders in hopes retaining and creating jobs.

Fiat now controls Chrysler and its four factories in his city.

Chrysler had more than 4,600 workers in Kokomo before its bankruptcy filing.

After spending two days with Fiat leaders, Goodnight also met with about 10 other businesses to fuel future economic development opportunities. He says some of those businesses expressed interest in coming to Indiana within the next six months to a year.
