The 2012 Super Bowl committee has a new vice president.

Michelle Raines takes over as VP of Event Operations Thursday. She formerly served in senior management positions in four Republican conventions.

Raines will oversee logistics, transportation and security for the committee. She left her post with a Washington, D.C.-based issues management firm to take the job in Indianapolis.

Raines is a South Bend native and an Indiana University graduate. She is the fourth employee of the Super Bowl committee.
