Officer David Bisard has dropped his request for legal help from the Fraternal Order of Police.
Listen:
FOP President Bill Owensby says there was no discussion of Bisard during their monthly meeting Thursday night.
He did say that some demoted officers have asked for legal assistance and were granted that help. He would not say how many officers or who they are.
Owensby also says the overwhelming majority of the members want Public Safety Director Frank Straub to resign, but any vote of no-confidence is not imminent.
