The mother of the motorcycle rider killed in a crash involving IMPD Officer David Bisard met with Marion County Prosecutor Carl Brizzi on Friday.
Mary Wells wants justice and had sought the meeting and wants Bisard to face the most severe charges possible. She also wants state law changed permanently that would oversee the guidelines that are in place on this type of situation when an officer is involved in a crash.
Afterwards, she told Fox 59's Gene Cox she didn't want to talk about what was discussed at the meeting.
"But I think they are doing what they can to make sure this gets prosecuted to the full extent of the law." said Wells.
Wells was accompanied by a petition with 5,000 names who want Brizzi to still seek DUI charges against Bisard.
Brizzi says he's made it clear he wasn't happy about how the crash investigation and the blood draw was handled, and he assured them that the FBI was investigating that aspect of it.
"They were concerned, they want an independent investigation and I said, look, that's about as independent as you're going to get." said Brizzi.
