Crash victim Eric Wells' parents return to Indianapolis to express mounting frustration with city officials over the investigation into their son's death involving IMPD officer David Bisard.
Outside the City-County Building, Aaron and Mary Wells continue to call for "transparency" from Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard, Public Safety Director Frank Straub and Marion County Prosecutor Carl Brizzi.
"We are profoundly disappointed and distraught over the manner in which this city of its present officials have handled this case and have refused to provide us with the reports, evidence, facts we certainly deserve," Aaron Wells said.
Wells calls Straub's decision to wait to release the findings of an IMPD internal investigation until mid-November "unconscionable."
The Indianapolis Department of Public Safety issued a statement Monday, saying Straub isn't required to share the report with the public, but will do so because of the nature of the case.
The Wells family is also upset that the Marion County Prosecutor's Office hasn't returned "several" calls about court dates and other information pertaining to the criminal case against Bisard.
Aaron Wells says they get most of their information from the media.
"We shouldn't have to rely on going to the Internet and searching the newspaper...to see what's going on."
