Clock Starts Ticking Toward Indianapolis Super Bowl
The 2012 Super Bowl Committee spent the last week in Dallas, Texas gathering ideas for what they can do to prepare for when the game hits Indianapolis.
Dianna Boyce with the committee says the NFL typically invites representatives from the next year's host city to the previous year's Super Bowl. She says they were happy to be invited and gathered a few ideas.
Boyce adds that while the organizers in Texas were caught a little bit off guard by the six inches of snow the area got, Indianapolis is well prepared for such an event. Representatives from the Department of Public Works went down there, too. She says she's already warned potential visitors to make sure they bring coats.
The committee is due to return to Indy Monday afternoon. Boyce points out they are excited to enter the full stages of planning the event.
