The Indiana Pacers introduced George Hill as the newest member of the team on Monday.

Listen:

The Indianapolis native greeted the crowd of fans and media at Conseco Fieldhouse. "I'm super excited to be here first of all, but I just want to basically say thanks."

Hill played high school basketball at Broad Ripple and went on to star at IUPUI, becoming the only Jaguars player to ever be drafted into the NBA.

Hill says it was always a dream to play for the Pacers but didn't know if it would ever happen.

"This is something we always talked about for a long time since I got drafted but it wasn't the right time. I learned a lot where I was, but at the same time I didn't know how long it was going to take to get back--or if it was even possible."

Hill joins the young Pacers and hopes to bring leadership and other knowledge he learned in San Antonio to help the Pacers win.
