Carter: Camm Ruling Should Stand

The state's attorney general says a former Indiana state trooper's conviction for killing his family should stand.

Steve Carter says the Indiana Supreme Court should deny the appeal of David Camm, who has been convicted twice of killing his wife and two young children in their Georgetown home.

Carter wrote a brief stating the evidence against Camm is overwhelming. He adds any mistakes that may have been made by Camm's attorneys in the March 2006 trial were insignificant.

Camm was first convicted in 2002, but it was later overturned, which led to another trial and his second conviction.

Camm's attorneys filed an appeal in October. He is serving a life sentence without parole.
