Actor Michael Jace Pleads Not Guilty To Murdering His Wife

(Los Angeles, CA) -- Actor Michael Jace remains behind bars after pleading not guilty to charges of murdering his wife inside their Los Angeles-area home. The actor best known for portraying a police officer on the TV drama "The Shield" entered his not guilty plea in court Friday. The 52-year-old Jace is accused of shooting his wife April inside the couple's Hyde Park home on May 19th. Police have said Jace called 911 shortly after the shooting and was arrested the next morning.

The couple's two children were at home at the time of the shooting. Jace faces 50 years to life in prison if fully convicted. He's being held on two-million dollars bail with a pretrial hearing set for September 19th.
