"Apes" Continue Reign At Box Office

(Los Angeles, CA) -- "The Purge: Anarchy" couldn't purge "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes" from the top spot on the weekend box office list. "Apes" remains the number one film for a second weekend, bringing in another 36-million dollars. "The Purge" follows at number two with 28-point-four-million in receipts. "Planes: Fire & Rescue" is flying into third place, making 18-million in its opening weekend. "Set Tape" is debuting at number four with earnings of 15-million. And "Transformers: Age of Extinction" has fallen to number five in its fourth weekend out, adding another 10-million dollars to its total gross.

Here are the top ten films at the weekend box office:
