MTV has announced Beyonce as this year's recipient of its Michael Jackson Vanguard Award honoring her illustrious career as a show stopper. She joins Jackson himself, Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears and Madonna as past recipients of the award. MTV is also promising an "epic" performance from the pop superstar who is also nominated for eight moonman trophies.

Usher, Ariana Grande, Maroon 5 and 5 Seconds Of Summer are also among those expected to perform during the awards presentation at The Forum in Inglewood, California.
