"Guardians of the Galaxy" Reclaim Box Office

(Undated) -- Disney's "Guardians of the Galaxy" is once again keeping watch at the top of the movie box office. Taking in 17-point-six-million-dollars in its fourth weekend, the Marvel Studios-Disney adventure shot past new entries to reclaim the top spot during a slow movie-going weekend, and earn a new status as the top grossing film of the season. According to "The Hollywood Reporter," "Guardians" has now earned 251-point-nine-million dollars, eclipsing the 243-million grossed by "Transformers: Age of Extinction." Coming in second this weekend was two-week box office champion "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles," which grossed 16-point-eight-million to squeak past the new young adult tearjerker, "If I Stay," which opened in third place with 16-point-four-million in box office receipts.

The star-studded "Sin City" sequel, "Sin City 2: A Dame To Kill For," opened with an underwhelming six-point-five-million for an eighth place debut. In comparison, the first "Sin City" brought in 29-million-dollars in its first weekend out, back in 2005. Another new box office entry, the high school football drama "When The Game Stands Tall," pulled in nine-million to debut number five.

Here are the top ten films at the weekend box office:

2. "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" -- $16.8 million
3. "If I Stay" -- $16.4 million
4. "Let's Be Cops" -- $11 million
5. "When the Game Stands Tall" -- $9 million
