Tom Petty Tops Billboard 200 For First Time

(Undated) -- Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers are finally at number one. The band's latest studio effort, "Hypnotic Eye," is debuting at the top of the Billboard 200, with sales of 131-thousand in its first week. The accomplishment marks the first time in their nearly 37-year recording career that Petty and company have topped the all-genre list. Classic rock continues its reign with Eric Clapton's "The Breeze: An Appreciation of JJ Cale" following at number two with 61-thousand in sales. "Guardians of the Galaxy: Awesome Mix Vol. 1" is a close number three, with sales of 60-thousand. The compilation soundtrack features songs from Blue Swede, The Raspberries, Redbone, 10cc, and other '70s artists.
