Fired Israeli Deputy Defense Minister Talks Gaza Incursion

(Tel Aviv) -- Former Israeli Deputy Defense Minister Danny Danon believes so strongly that his country must not negotiate with Hamas that he lost his job over it this week.
That ceasefire went basically nowhere this week with both sides quickly resuming hostilities. On Thursday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced a large scale military operation that includes boots on the ground in the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip. Earlier Friday, he told them to prepare for a "significant" escalation in the operation.
