Fortville Man Accused Of Lying About Being A Police Officer
FORTVILLE, Ind. -- It’s never a good idea to lie about being a police officer, especially when you bring a gun to a school's soccer practice.
Nathaniel Salazar, 25, of Fortville is accused of having a gun strapped to his side while he was coaching a youth soccer league at Mt. Vernon schools.
The Greenfield Daily Reporter says he told others he could have the gun on school property because he was an officer with the Fortville Police Department. School officers later learned that was not true.
Salazar is facing felony charges of impersonating a public servant and possession of a firearm on school property.
