IOC Bans Ebola-Region Athletes From Some Youth Olympics Events

(Undated) -- The International Olympic Committee is banning athletes from West Africa from competing in some Youth Olympic Games events. The IOC announced today that young athletes from the region where an Ebola outbreak has killed hundreds will not be allowed to compete in combat sports or swimming events. The IOC says it isn't possible to rule out the risk of infection. The Games begin Saturday in Nanjing, China and run through August 28th.
