UN: Israel May Have Committed War Crimes

(Geneva) -- The United Nations top human rights official is out with a warning that Israel may have committed war crimes in Gaza. Navi Pillay, who heads the UN Human Rights Council, also condemned Hamas for "indiscriminate attacks" on Israel.
Pillay told an emergency meeting of members in Geneva that Israel's military offensive had not done enough to protect civilians. Over 650 Palestinians have died in two weeks of the ground offensive in Gaza to stop Hamas rock attacks. Israel has recorded more than 30 deaths, most of them soldiers.

UN Human Rights Council head Navi Pillay cited incidents where civilians, doctors and a hospital came under fire as possible war crimes. Pillay says Israel's military offensive had not done enough to protect civilians. Play Clip
