White House Comments On Rise In Britain Terror Alert

(Washington, DC) -- The White House says there are currently no plans to raise U.S. security procedures further due to the threat of ISIS. Presidential spokesman Josh Earnest remarked today that the U.S. is always acting to counter terrorism in both seen and unseen ways, and the government is keeping a careful eye on the terror group. Earnest made the remarks after Britain raised its terror alert level to "severe."

White House spokesman Josh Earnest says President Obama met with his national security council immediately after saying yesterday that there's no firm strategy on how the U.S. will deal with ISIS.
Earnest said the Pentagon is coming up with military options for Obama to consider. He refused to discuss details on when a decision may be made on possible strikes against ISIS forces in Syria. Britain raised its terror alert level to "severe" today.
