BARGERSVILLE, Ind. — Several fire departments were needed to put out a large barn fire in Johnson County Tuesday morning.
The Bargersville Fire Department says around 8 a.m., smoke could be seen from miles away, as a barn caught fire.
Deputy Chief Mike Pruitt said his team originally ran into a problem. The barn is more than 1,000 feet off the road, which, at first, made it difficult to get water to the barn. It took 40 minutes and 30,000 gallons of water to put the fire out.
The barn was destroyed, along with everything inside, including go-karts, ATVs and tractors. No one was injured, but the fire caused $200,000 worth of damage.
The cause of the fire is still unknown.
