1 Killed, Several Injured in Crash on I-70

It closed eastbound I-70 for nearly 6 hours.

HANCOCK COUNTY, Ind.  One person is dead and several others were injured in a multi-vehicle crash involving two semis on I-70 in Hancock County Saturday morning. 

The crash happened around 10 a.m. near the 110 mile marker just east of Greenfield. 

The Hancock County Sheriff says two semis and four vehicles were involved in the crash. One person was pronounced dead at the scene. The Greenfield Police Department was there as well. 

Several other people were taken to Hancock Regional Hospital to be treated for unknown injuries. 

Eastbound I-70 was closed for nearly six hours. Greenfield Police also let the public know when the road was back open.

The crash is still under investigation.
