18-Year-Old Arrested For Murder of Another Teen

INDIANAPOLIS -- The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department has arrested 18-year-old Eugene Jones for the murder of 18-year-old Deante Williams at Wes Montgomery Park.

Williams and his girlfriend were sitting in their car around 7 p.m. Sunday evening when someone approached the car and shot Williams multiple times in the chest. He died a short time later at Eskenazi Hospital.

Police say Williams made plans to meet Jones in the park that night.

Jones turned himself in to police Tuesday evening. 

IMPD believes robbery was likely the motive.
